Merlin Season electric showers 1 (2008) | Sodomy - it's hard not to!
Merlin is a youth series (very loosely) based on the King Arthur myth and its characters. The protagonist Merlin (Colin Morgan) is a magician who comes to Camelot's old "medicine man" Gaius (Richard Wilson) as apprentice. Magic is totally forbidden in Camelot and put to death, but Merlin can not help that he is who he is. A locked Dragon (aka Slash Dragon fandomvärlden) tells him that his destiny is to use magic to ensure that the spoiled Prince Arthur (Bradley James) comes to power. Well, he puts it slashigare than that: "That your and Arthur's paths lie together is but the truth" and "a half can not truly hate that Which makes it whole." Merlin takes his job seriously, electric showers save Arthur from death and get as reward position as Arthur's "manservant". The two young guys småbråkar bit but the implication is that they love each other. Section 4, 10, 11 and 13 are the slash-friendly when it comes to Arthur / Merlin, but even when Lancelot (Santiago Cabrera) is introduced (and disappear) in Section 5, it gets a little gaygay. What I have gathered, it is also popular to femslasha Arthur's half-sister / adoptivsyster Morgana (Katie McGrath) with her maid Guinevere (Angel Coulby), but there is soo much to get there. Anyone who has the slightest eye on Arthur legend will get confused because no one is the same as ever (age differences, appearance, roles, backgrounds, family circumstances) but we are damn grateful! I had not wanted to see an old bearded electric showers old man's Merlin along with the young prince. Now both I long and dread season 2: what if it is straight!

That what I thought of when I saw the series lately: all magic-as-taboo-times possible to make direct parallels to homosexuality. "He must not know about my secret" "If he does not like me for who I am I guess he's not the friend I thought he was," and "I was born this way."
1st section: dancing around the living room and sing "Merlin and Arthur, sitting in a tree! KISSING "repeatedly. It is NOT just like my slash dependent brain imagining. a few hundred fanvids on YouTube can not be wrong. I * love * this series. Merlin / Arthur til the end of the world, baby!
